Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data DexCue collects, why it is used, and how it is handled for website accounts and DexCue Timer desktop operations.
Last updated: May 10, 2026
1. Data we collect
We may collect account details (such as name and email), limited billing records, IP address, session activity, subscription and license key identifiers, license activation records, hardware ID, app version, OS platform, Host nickname, linked device names, and operational diagnostics needed to run DexCue services. DexCue does not store full payment card numbers or card security codes on DexCue-owned servers.
2. Telemetry and update checks
When enabled or required for service operation, DexCue may process telemetry and update-check data such as hardware ID, app version, OS platform, Host nickname, local service status, and request metadata to validate licensing, detect reliability issues, provide compatibility checks, and deliver update availability information.
3. Local-network operation and Web Control Panel
DexCue Host and DexCue Client are designed to operate on local networks. If Web Control Panel is enabled
on a Host, browser requests to that Host (commonly http://<host-ip>:8086) may create local
network access logs and request metadata on the Host system. Browser access itself is not currently
Pro-gated, but Pro-only features still depend on the Host license state.
4. Why we use data
We use data to create and manage accounts, process subscriptions and payments, issue and validate licenses, operate activation flows, prevent abuse and fraud, provide support, improve reliability, and meet legal, security, and accounting obligations.
5. Payment and service providers
We share limited data with providers that help us run DexCue, including Stripe for billing and payments, Resend for email delivery, and Sentry for error monitoring where enabled. Stripe handles payment card collection, processing, and storage for checkout and subscription billing. DexCue typically only receives limited billing details such as card brand, last four digits, transaction status, billing country, and provider identifiers needed for billing operations and support.
When you purchase or manage a DexCue subscription, Stripe may collect and process information such as your name, email address, billing address, payment method details, transaction details, IP address, device/browser information, and fraud-prevention signals. Stripe processes this information according to its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
6. Retention
We keep account, subscription, licensing, and related operational data for as long as needed to provide the service and satisfy legal, security, tax, or fraud-prevention requirements. Some billing records may be retained even after account closure where required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also request account-related help through support. We may retain limited records where law or legitimate business needs require it.
8. Cookies and analytics
DexCue may use essential session cookies for login and account access. Cookie-free analytics may be used for aggregate site measurement. Payment providers such as Stripe may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies in checkout, billing portal, fraud-prevention, and payment-security flows. We do not rely on advertising trackers to operate the product.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and billing data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
